A cover of the Beastie Boys’ Fight For Your Right was something I wasn’t expecting when I went to see The Feeling.

But that is exactly what I got at the end of the gig – and I’d be lying if I said I didn’t enjoy it.

This gig had a bit of everything. I didn’t realise how many songs I knew until they belted out hits including Sewn, Never Be Lonely and Love It When You Call.

The crowd was even treated to a new song, which will be on album number three.

Before the gig there were funny video clips which the band’s fans had posted on YouTube.

At one point frontman Dan Gillespie Sells even ventured into the crowd to perform an acoustic number. It all added to the really welcoming, friendly atmosphere throughout.

The band, most of whom hail from Sussex, seem to have a close relationship with their fans, and appeared to raise their game for this visit to Brighton.

It was a welcome return.
