A cyclist lost his bike after a street lamp caught alight.
The bicycle was attached to the lamp post in Manchester Street, Brighton and was melted by the heat from the flames.
It is believed the fire was caused by a fault in the lamp.
Fire crews from Roedean attended the incident at 6.30pm.
