What would you like us to ask the Conservative leader on his Sussex visit?

The Argus will be speaking to Conservative leader David Cameron when he visits Sussex tomorrow and we want to know what you would like us to ask him.

Maybe you would like to know how he would address the city's issues? How he would help the local economy? Or what he would do to improve our schools?

We will choose some of the best readers' questions to put to Mr Cameron ahead of his appearance at a "Cameron Direct" event at the Old Market in Upper Market Street, Hove, at 6.30pm.

Post your questions on the comment board below.

Your Say YourArgus

Scoomer, Moulsecoomb says...
12:52pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Will it be like Mastermind? Can I ask him what year Titian died?

bloodymiaw, brighton says...
12:58pm Thu 12 Feb 09

how much money he's got?

Lil, Worthing says...
1:09pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Is he going to save the world and is he in fact Superman as we all expect?

I will be heartily disappointed if the Tories don't manage to say everything they say they will....

*chuckle*

I know, ask him if he, the leader of the new 'Green Party', regrets gouging out Twyford Down and decimating one end of the South Downs rather than putting the M3 in a tunnel?

Osama bin there, Brighton says...
1:09pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Does he realise he's an unelectable toff?

mickeyfinn, Brighton says...
1:09pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Ask him why he doesn't need to shave - is it electrolysis?

wolf, fishersgate says...
1:11pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Where will he get the money from to make all these improvements.
He's "a man with a plan" what is that plan ?

Scoomer, Moulsecoomb says...
1:12pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Ask him how we should behave when Thatcher finally pops her clogs - black armbands or street parties?

pancaker, Lewes says...
1:14pm Thu 12 Feb 09

How about a serious question: why is so much of the Tory party made up out of Bullingdon Club public school boys. That's off putting to a lot of the electorate.

Scoomer, Moulsecoomb says...
1:16pm Thu 12 Feb 09

"A serious question" - come on, this is YourArgus, not the Guardian. I want to know whether he wears y-fronts or boxers. I've got a bet going with Mickeyfinn.

Paul The Eagle, Worthing says...
1:17pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Ask him whether he will continue funding the NHS to the same amount as Labour has, or will they be returning to the levels of investment preferred by Thatcher and Majors governments.

wellsyuk, Brighton says...
1:19pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Ask him if he thinks he's got an answer to everything, as he certainly seems to think so.

Lil, Worthing says...
1:23pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Should Poundland come to Worthing?

Mark Kermode, off the telly says...
1:24pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Who framed Roger RAbbit?

Ming, Brighton says...
1:26pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Do you not think that politicians would find it easier to relate to the needs of the average British tax-payer if they had to live like us? For example, average wages, not claiming tax-payers money for their shopping trips to John Lewis/a £10k kitchen in their 2nd home?

Ming, Brighton says...
1:27pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Should Clarkson be PM?

Holden_Caulfield, Rye says...
1:30pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Who would win in a fight between a baboon and a badger?

Lil, Worthing says...
1:31pm Thu 12 Feb 09

In a hypothetical situation, if Gordon Brown was to average 90mph airborne when hit by a Morris Ital starting at junction 22 of the M6, and Nick Clegg was hit at 88mph from J2 of the M6 by a Austin Montego, at which junction of the M6 would:

a.) They meet, and --
b.) A chockie biscuit rise high over the Cadbury's factory?

wendy-uk, Haywards Heath says...
1:39pm Thu 12 Feb 09

I would like to know, if the Conservatives are elected, how David Cameron would improve the quality of life for the people of Sussex - ie would he act to stop the whole county disappearing under the thousands of houses we are somehow supposed to accommodate and also do something to stop all these hospital closures (crazy in an area where the number of residents is rising so steeply)

Scoomer, Moulsecoomb says...
1:42pm Thu 12 Feb 09

How can someone with a family wealth estimated at over £30m (according to Sunday Times Rich List compiler Philip Beresford) hope to empathise with mere mortals like us?

MzEden, Brighton says...
2:08pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Is it possible for him to not look so bloody smug all the time and if yes, when does he think he may implement that?
I'd suggest he does it as soon as possible as, until that happens, he has a rat in hells chance of getting to me even listen to him, let alone vote for him!

Joeinbrighton, Brighton says...
2:10pm Thu 12 Feb 09

How about asking him if he considered a career in insurance. Although given he does not seem to have any policies he would probably have found that career path difficult.

Charismatic Andrew, Patcham says...
2:16pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Would he ban lotteries to decide school admissions?

BigH, Brighton says...
2:18pm Thu 12 Feb 09

does he think there'll ever be a boy born that can swim as fast as a shark

Carl Bugenhagen, West Pier says...
2:48pm Thu 12 Feb 09

When he says we'll get a referendum on the EU - what does he mean? Will we get the option to vote for leaving it completely?

Will he apply the same anti-corruption laws of the Commons to the Lords, and kick out convicts like Archer?

Would he, as some countries of similar size do, accept a procedure to go to referendum on any subject raised by a petition of 300,000 people or more?

Will he put a limit on the amount of money big business can give to lobbying firms, most specifically arms suppliers and media groups?

Will he stop the selling arms to regimes that use them in war crimes?

Would he stop the St Athan Military Academy and undertake not to further privatise the military in the way the US have done?

Would he undertake not to appoint ANYONE to a life peerage specifically to give them a job in his government?

Can he state what he thinks is meant by "an ethical foreign policy"?

With the proposed new rail investments, how much of the expenditure is envisaged to come from the tax payer and private investors, and will enough profits be returned to the tax payer to cover the expenditure?

Will he undertake to reduce the time limits on Freedom of Information access to cabinet and government documents to seven years?

Security word (great for such a thatcherite): deny-milk

Carl Bugenhagen, West Pier says...
2:48pm Thu 12 Feb 09

This country needs a free and independent media, would he reintroduce measures to limit the size of media organisations that were swept away over the last 20 years and give incentives to UK based media groups? (sorry argus, had to ask)

wellsyuk, Brighton says...
3:00pm Thu 12 Feb 09

Could he deck a horse with one punch?

Scoomer, Moulsecoomb says...
