Last Friday's Playgroup's Save The Winged Badger Shark! was a really great night. After being worried that I'm getting on a bit and I wouldn't keep awake for the whole night we boogied into the early hours. Los Albertos lived up to my expectations and if anyone knows what the 60s type band was on near to the end, let me know as we loved twisting and jiving to them!

Saturday arrived with a horrible hangover - so the early morning classes were a no go, but by mid afternoon I was well enough for a stroll into sunny Brighton and back in the swing of discovering new pubs such as the Robin Hood. The Robin Hood had all the charms that I am finding most Brighton pubs have but with the added feel good factor that they give all their profits to charity. We initially popped in as it was one of the few pubs down Church Street where you could fit a large group of people in and I happily spent a chilled evening playing Connect Four and drinking wine. The only down side being that apparently there's not a huge selection of beers to choose from, but I thought the wine was ok!

To make up for missing the fitness classes on Saturday, we took advantage of the good weather and rode towards Rottingdean. (I'm not sure if it was all the way to Rottingdean - but it was somewhere east of the Marina!) I love the Hove-Brighton seafront, but this beach was cool, it was really chilled out scenic beach, full of rock pools and REAL SAND! It is definitely going in my book of things to do again I think it would be really great to make a day of it - on a really hot day, were you could pick up a picnic from Asda and spend a day chilling out, eating and exploring the rock pools.

So on to this weekend - with the added bonus of 2 extra days! I hope the weather holds as I am sure the seafront will be full of activity. On Friday there's a Bon Ivor night at Audio. A Bon Ivor tribute band are playing called Bowiesque which I wish I was seeing, as I have heard some great reviews and it's raising money for Sussex Beacon so again at the same time as having fun, you know your money is going to a good cause. But apart from that, I haven't heard too much of what's on over the long weekend. I'm off up north to spend some time with my grandparents and be spoiled rotten with easter eggs.

What's everyone else up to? I'll be back Monday, so I'm up for suggestions for anything to end the weekend with!
