Rush-hour traffic caused tailbacks when a road was closed after a crash.
Two vehicles collided just after 5.30pm on the A27 eastbound, near Polegate.
Emergency services attended the scene and the cars’ occupants were treated for whiplash.
The road was reopened at 6pm.
