A Eastbourne furniture store has banned foreign students.

Perfect Homes in the Arndale Centre has put up a sign in its window explaining the ban.

It reads: "Polite notice: As this shop is of no interest to foreign students we are asking you not to enter."

The store banned all foreign students after some came into the shop to eat their McDonalds while sitting on beds and furniture.

Joint managing director for the firm Chris Moffett said: “It's not that we are picking foreign students out but because we have had this hassle we are not having it anymore.”
