So pre-season is finally behind us and the waiting is all but over. As I sit here typing, the clock is ticking and showing less than 46 hours until the first whistle of the new campaign. Is Wrexham a good place to start? If last year is anything to go by, then NO! However with the new-look squad that Garry and Nick have assembled, I doubt a similar outcome. Yes, Dean Saunders has tweaked his numbers too but I still feel we will suprise the Red faithful of Wales this time. It will also be the first viewing of the new Boro away kit, or is that changed strip, of light blue. It looks smart in the photos, so lets hope it looks good on the green green grass of Wales.

It's been a hell of a week in the BSP. Who would have imagined the comings and goings of our fellow Connie Premier teams. Cambridge now have no manager and no chairman, the latter of which I doubt will be missed by the Abbey die-hards. Grays managed to lose a manager but gain nine players in one day! Poor old Chester still at this late hour have no idea if they are at Grays on Saturday or having another weekend off, having only fulfuilled one pre-season game. Mind you, if the game at Grays doesn't go ahead, it will give the Essex outfit time to gel! Oh and Forest Green seem to be missing a guvnor too!

Who knows, by the time this hits the website, Garry and Nick maybe the only surviving management team in Blue Square!

So we have a trip to the valleys followed closely by what is going to be one hell of an evening with the first visit of AFC Wimbledon to Priory Lane. Underground,Overgound, they will Womble their way to Langney, and hopefully enjoy a night of Sussex hospitality.

So that's it...... The countdown has commenced..... I cant wait! Bring on season 2009/10.
