With reference to your article “residents face £104 park zone”, (The Argus, August 4), I am pleased the council proposes to introduce parking controls in Preston Park Avenue and fully support this action.
Parking controls will improve safety in the immediate area and provide easier access to Preston Park for more people due to turnover of vehicles.
We do not have an entitlement to free parking and if people can afford to run a car, £2 a week for parking does not appear excessive.
