A homeless woman’s possessions were set on Fire as she slept next to them.
Shopping trolleys containing the woman’s belongings were set on fire in the car park in Carpenter Box, Grafton Road, Worthing, at about 1.20am today.
Two members of the public came to the woman’s aid after she ran for help. She was left shaken but uninjured.
Her possessions were destroyed and the external wall and interior of the adjacent office buildings were damaged.
Fire crews and police attended the scene.
Officers are appealing for anyone with information to contact them on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 74 of August 21.
