IT’S ALL very well car drivers banging on about getting rid of bus lanes (Letters, August 14), plus a Government in mortal danger of extinction giving £2,000 of taxpayers’ money to buy new cars, many of which are no longer manufactured in Britain Yet in reality across our small island we should start getting rid of combustion engined motor vehicles, replacing them with modern electric public transport – trains and trams, or else leave a horrendous transport legacy to future generations.
