A drug-dealer threatened to kill a school teacher and bombarded her with a string of abusive texts after she dumped him.
Josephine Sturgess had been going out with Sidi Wildchiaa for about four months.
But he launched a campaign of harassment against her after their relationship ended.
He began sending threatening texts and voicemail messages for her saying that he was going to kill her before threatening her with a knife.
Wildchiaa, 40, of Western Street, Brighton, yesterday pleaded guilty to putting Ms Sturgess in fear of violence by harassment.
Ryan Richter, prosecuting, told a judge at Brighton Crown Court that Wildchiaa had also admitted supplying crack cocaine.
Wildchiaa was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Brighton Crown Court on December 4.
