£1,044,500 is to be spent in Portslade by 2011 for early years funding.
This includes the new extension at Peter Gladwin School at a cost of £500,000 with a further adition of £145,000.
Mile Oak Community Centre is to receive £35,000 for refurbishment plus an aditional £5,000.
Their is a further £40,000 being spent on the Mile Oak pavilion for the play group to improve the conditions there.
Also approved is £19,500 for lanscaping at the Acorn Nursery and Portslade Childrens Centre.
The biggest majority of the money is from Government funding.
