THE other night I saw Alison Moyet perform at the Brighton Dome. I was shocked by how slim she was in comparison to her old days as Alf in Yazoo.
I prided myself on being slimmer than Alison Moyet and used it as an excuse never to shed any pounds – i.e. “I am not as overweight as Alison Moyet, so why should I diet?”
Sadly, now the reverse is true. I never thought I would see a slim Alison Moyet. I think I preferred her as cuddly old Alf.
