“BUSES are top of the league” (The Argus, November 13).

I find the title of this story rather amusing, considering we live in Peacehaven and the bus service couldn’t be any worse.

Brighton and Hove Buses claims that during the week you can catch a bus every ten minutes, so why is is that you sometimes have to wait nearly 30 minutes for a bus?

Why do they have a time-table when the buses don’t adhere to it? Several times a day you can see three buses all behind one another.

Also we travel on the main A259 and you cannot get a bus directly down to the Marina (except once an hour on a Sunday, again if you’re lucky).

The bus service at night is a complete joke. We find ourselves staying in more frequently because we can’t rely on the buses to get home.

One more complaint is the lack of a service to Lewes from Peacehaven. If we want to go out in Lewes, we have to go by bus to Newhaven and catch the train on to Lewes. But we cannot rely on buses to return home as they are non-existent after 10.30pm.
