WITH regard to Emily Walker’s article headlined Katie’s Grumble in the Jungle (The Argus, November 21), it seems to me that someone should write a defence of Katie Price.

She has successfully marketed books. So she’s temperamental? Who isn’t in these days of recession?

She’s a good mother. No one disputes that, and she’s got guts in the Queensland jungle.

She’s got a plastic body – so what? The men seem to like her. Perhaps for some that’s the source of the trouble.

She likes horses. So do I. What’s the problem? She stood up to her former husband and has a good time. She seems to have a strength and is a good example of a woman.

Perhaps she has Margaret Thatcher’s blood. Perhaps she should be Prime Minister.
