Crawley's injury problems worsened in a goalless first half against Salisbury which ended with the visitors reduced to ten men.
Already without five players because of injury and suspension Chris Giles, who had been playing as an emergency striker, limped off after 20 minutes and was replaced by Charlie Ademeno.
In a poor half of few chances Chris Flood had the best effort when he burst through but fired wide from 15 yards with only goalkeeper Simon Rayner to beat.
The home side enjoyed plenty of possession but only troubled Salisbury keeper James Bittner once when he had to save Mikey Malcolm's free kick.
The game exploded into life in stoppage time when defender James Turley was shown a straight red for an over-the-ball challenge on Crawley skipper Adam Quinn.
