Gusts of up to 65mph are expected to hit Sussex this evening.
The latest reports from the Met Office say the south coast will have sustained strong gale force winds of up to 47 mph.
This could see branches break off trees, properties damaged and construction signs blown over.
The winds will bring heavy rain and limited visibility.
