Council officials are seeking residents' views on a major town centre redevelopment.

Adur District Council wants a new community centre, health centre, library, Citizens Advice Bureau and up to 140 new homes in Pond Road, Shoreham.

Consultants have drawn up plans ready for the public to have their say and for councillors to approve in a bid to attract developers to take on the project.

Public consultation on the project, which is part of the wider Shoreham Renaissance strategy, has begun this week.

An exhibition of the proposals are on display at Shoreham Community Centre until November 29, at Shoreham Library from November 30 until December 6, at the Shoreham Food Festival at Coronation Green from December 8 until December 12 and at the civic centre in Ham Road from December 14 until 18.

Council officers will be available for questions at the library on Wednesday December 2 from 10am to 1pm.

Officers will also be able to answer questions at the food festival from 10am to 2pm.

The plans can also be viewed online at www.adur.gov.uk/pond-road.
