A talented fashion spotter got involved in a fight after a group of girls mocked the jumper he was wearing.
Perry Parker became so angry by the banter with the girls in a kebab shop that he confronted them and attacked a man who tried to intervene.
Parker repeatedly stamped on Carl Guy's head during the assault in Pool Valley, Brighton, in the early hours of February 3 last year.
Samuel Ashby, 22, who was on a night out with Parker and other friends, straddled Mr Guy and repeatedly punched him as he lay injured.
Parker, a future fashion forecaster for a London store, regularly travels to Paris and Milan to spot the next clothing trends.
The 25-year-old, of The Quadrant, Haywards Heath, and Ashby, of Upton Road, Worthing, were found guilty of causing actual bodily harm.
Parker was given a 12 month prison sentence suspended for two years.
He must also do 200 hours unpaid community work and pay Mr Guy £750 compensation.
Ashby was also ordered to do 200 hours community work and pay £750 compensation.
