Crawley took control of their FA Trophy tie with two goals in the first 16 minutes at Bashley today.
Left-back Sam Rents played a one-two with Barry Cogan to curl a right-foot shot past David Elm to give them a fourth-minute lead.
And Reds doubled their lead when Barry Cogan produced a low cross at the end of a driving run into the box and Glenn Wilson, who had stayed up for a corner, side-footed home from close range.
Reds should have been out of sight at that stage with Lewis Killeen, Charlie Ademeno and Ben Smith all missing good chances.
And they were shocked on 20 minutes when Charlie Knight beat the offside trap down the left and beat Simon Rayner at his near post from close range.
The visitors still looked a threat though and home keeper David Elm kept out Ben Smith's 20 yarder at full stretch.
