The Carers Centre for Brighton & Hove is organising a new drop-in event for carers in Patcham on Tuesday 26th January (11am - 2.30pm): 'Connecting Carers' aims to inform carers about local health services available to them, give Carers Representatives the chance to consult with carers and to give carers the chance to engage in relaxing activities or learn new skills. A free, tasty lunch in between will be laid on to keep everyone happy! The event will take place at Patcham Community Centre , with guest speaker Kathy Caley (Commissioner for Older Peoples Mental Services) talking through the latest Dementia Strategy. In the afternoon there will be a stress-busting workshop for carers. Please ring The Carers Centre to book your place and to let us know whether you are coming for all or part of the day.
