A man was taken to hospital with facial injuries after he was assaulted.
Police are appealing for information following after the 51-year-old was attacked by three men in Hartfield Square, Eastbourne, at about midnight on Friday.
He was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital following the attack at the entrance to the square, next to the junction of Eversfield Road and Hartfield Road.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sussex Police on 0845 6070999, quoting serial 1913 of December 11.
