Find the latest updates for road, rail and bus for Monday January 10 here.
Latest traffic information on Sussex roads.
On its website today the firm said: “Due to the adverse weather conditions, some roads in the city and beyond are still treacherous and we are still unable to serve some areas.
"We regret that we are no longer able to provide shuttle services with coaches fitted with snow chains in the estates, as the snow chains are only suitable for use on roads that are covered in snow as the chains may otherwise break.
"We hope to operate as many school buses as possible except those to Longhill School, which is closed today. Please check back here for updates.
"We sincerely apologise for the continuing inconvenience; we have teams constantly out checking roads and will reinstate more services as conditions allow.

I'm in central Brighton, there's snow!
Or maybe its ice. Maybe a mixture of the two.
I've just spoken to someone on the phone, and there's snow in Hove too.
I don't expect buses to be running normally tomorrow.

if buses don't run, it will be for the safety of the public. you may well find some routes terminating early, due to sideroads being left ungritted. ok then, everybody out with your brooms and shovels, help your community get back to normal, and stuff what 'bibble' says about being sued

kkj wrote:This is insider information and as on a need to know basis - I should not tell you this - but here goes. Not all buses have radios. And not all of those B&H buses that have them work. When you posted your message, there would be countless drivers plodding along trying to take their passengers from A to B with no idea that the services had been cancelled. The problem with this being that there is a tendancy from the public to then assult the driver when he / she finds out that can no longer carry passengers. (Be this physical or verbal).

I'm not sure that the residents of Patcham know why they bother to pay their council tax, as this is the second time in two weeks we have been left without access to the rest of the city due to snow.Even though the weather forcast was very clear that snow was coming no roads have been gritted. Meanwhile I have been watching the cars trying to get up Braybon Avenue, good luck with that!!!

B&H is a private Co.
Buses off the road is for a reason, safety. So if you selfish fat people have to walk for once in your lives, so be it!
You would be the first to jump on the waggon if an accident was caused by a driver.
Complain is all people do,never think outside the box.
I never see praise for the attempts that company make to resume services?
