There is bitter disappointment in Hollingbury that Brighton and Hove City Council’s governance committee is recommending that the name of Patcham Ward should not be changed to include Hollingbury.
On December 4, 2008 the Council decided to replace Hollingbury in the name of the neighbouring ward, so it became Hollingdean and Stanmer.
If Hollingdean and Stanmer was right, Patcham and Hollingbury must be right.
It will be interesting to see how councillors who voted for Hollingdean and Stanmer vote now.
