One of the UK's largest driving schools has gone into administration, putting around 400 jobs at risk, it was revealed today.

Red Driving School parent LVG appointed MCR as administrator on Tuesday and a rescue buyer is now being sought for the business.

Brighton-based LVG also owns Red Instructor Training and Red Fleet Training.

It employs 400 employees, including 250 based in the Red Instructor Training division.

MCR said LVG collapsed due to funding woes and will continue to trade as normal while it seeks a buyer.
