Lewes are on the verge of signing big defender Tom Jordan.
The former Bristol City and Southend player wants to join the Rooks and was discussing terms with manager Steven King after last night's game with Canvey Island.
Jordan, the son of former Scotland international Joe, has impressed in pre-season friendlies against Albion and Aldershot.
King said: "Tom wants to sign. I spoke to his dad and he said Tom loves it at Lewes.
"He has a great attitude, is professional in everything he does and just gets on with the job."
King would also like to sign former Brentford leftback Lee Fieldwick, who has appeared in the last two friendlies, but must decide whether he can afford him.
Gravesend defender Francis Duku was due to play for Lewes last night. Duku, who is wanted by a number of clubs, turned out for Crawley last Thursday and Margate on Saturday.
