Like many, I am a Brighton worker. I use the 712 bus route to travel to and from work. I catch the 7.20am to work and the 5.23pm from Churchill Square home.

This is a direct plea to the retired (who have all day to go shopping) shoppers and parents with small children. Would it be too much to ask for you to go to Brighton early and come home early instead of waiting for the rush hour?

Most evenings I watch as the bus I am on passes North Street and the Sea Life Centre without picking up any regulars because the bus is already full.

Many of these regulars all catch the same bus as me in the mornings. We have all had a long day in a stuffy office but they have to wait for a later bus. We will still be here, going to and from work, when the summer holidays are over and winter sets in so, please, give us some thought.

Please, please, just think what time it is when catching a bus and let the workers get home to their families too.

Another thing. I was always told to respect the elderly and always have but I think respect should be both ways.

I was waiting for the bus in a queue that had extended from the bus stop past Marks & Spencers when a mature lady asked if I was in the queue. I replied yes. The bus then arrived and she bypassed everyone and forced her way to the front of the queue. This happens every night.

Direct plea to Roger French of Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company - can you not put two 712 buses on at the height of the rush hour? We cannot rely on the Stagecoach 712 service even to turn up.

You have fantastic drivers who always greet us with a smile but their patience must wear thin too.
