I went to the cancer unit at the Royal Sussex County Hospital for what I hoped would be the last time.
The smiling faces of the consultants told us all as my husband accompanied me into the consulting room.
Once again I was given confidence by their attitude, something which has happened continuously since the end of January through examinations, assessments, biopsy, radio and chemo therapy, selectron treatment and four days in hospital.
A wonderful caring and efficient staff in all sorts of roles. Thirteen weeks of treatment, the all clear and a cheery "go and enjoy the summer".
The terrific pressure to maintain standards is horrendous but for the Royal Sussex County Hospital Cancer unit myself and family have nothing but praise.
Congratulations, NHS, Aneurin Bevan would be proud of you.
