Along with many other hundreds of people I have to use the level crossing at Portslade station, in my case about five times a week.
Other pedestrians use it several times daily - in both directions.
One cannot fail to notice that when the barrier comes down, a long time passes before the train finally arrives at or through Portslade station.
I'm as keen as the next guy on safety but surely the delay time could be shortened?
Sussex has level crossings in spades and I am sure my suggestion would ease frustration, speed up transport deliveries and improve bus services.
