Crawley will be without international runners Joel Kidger and Gavin Thompson for their vital British League match at Kingston on Saturday.
Team manager Mark Sheridan wanted to call up the star pair for the first time this season to boost Crawley's promotion bid but they will rest ahead of the Olympic trials the following weekend.
Crawley are third in division four going into the penultimate match and the inclusion of Kidger in the 800m and Thompson in the 5,000m would have enhanced their hopes of an instant return to division three.
Kidger said: "I would love to help the club out but I have run a lot of races lately and it is not possible to do another one so close to the trials. Hopefully I will be able to do my bit in the final match."
