Now the dust has settled and Albion are back in Division One, I would like to reply to the whingers about ticket sales and coach arrangements for Cardiff.

Regarding the number of turnstiles open, if people had looked around at Withdean they would have seen the nine that were open were the only ones available because inside the main arena was like a bomb site, with the removal of seats which has to be done each year.

Regarding ticket sales, there were only three ways it could have been done:

1. season ticket holders and AMS members issue one each; I don't think so. I know of three season ticket holders who bought their own plus more than 12 for relatives and friends so they could all be together.

3. the way it was done people could have as many as they wanted.

I heard comments it was unfair on children to have to queue all that time for tickets but that was unnecessary as anyone could have as many as they wanted.

As for coaches, we got coaches to pick up at central points to get on the road as early as possible. As far as we know it worked. We've had many phone calls praising our efforts.

A good job was done by all concerned, working 12-14 hours a day to get it right. When you think about the effort put in to distribute nearly 30,000 tickets and place nearly 10,000 people on coaches throughout Sussex in only six days, it was a great effort by those involved - you get the thanks of the majority.
