Albion supporters are planning to blitz Labour MPs all over the country with thousands of postcards.

The cards feature four scenes of Brighton and Hove - the Royal Pavilion, the field at Falmer where fans want a new stadium built, a computer-generated impression of the stadium itself and Sheepcote Valley, an alternative site rejected by the club.

Paul Samrah, chairman of the Falmer For All Campaign, said up to 7,000 cards had been printed, using donations collected in buckets.

He said: "This continues the support for the Albion's application for the new community stadium. The pictures include two iconic buildings, the Royal Pavilion from the 19th Century and the proposed community stadium for the 21st Century. The key issues are printed on the back, along with a request to urge John Prescott to say 'yes' to a new stadium at Falmer."

Campaigners need the names and postcodes of Falmer supporters living in any Labour constituency outside Sussex to make sure the initiative is a success.

Mr Samrah said: "The constituents can be friends, relatives or work colleagues but they must support the Falmer campaign and be happy to have their details used in this way.

"This initiative is different and will send a powerful message, reinforcing the Albion's credentials as part of the national game."
