Reading the letter from Rod Ackers (March 4) about the yellow box at the junction of New Church Road and Boundary Road in Hove, I can assure him it is perfectly in order to enter a yellow box providing your exit is clear, irrespective of oncoming traffic.

Indeed, the best place to wait for a gap in the oncoming traffic is the centre of the yellow box.

I suspect bus drivers are fed up with Mr Ackers trying to "educate" them when he is under a misapprehension.

On their behalf, I should point out to him that it is an offence to talk to a bus driver while he or she is driving.
