Campaigners fighting plans to expand Britain's oldest airport will voice their concerns at a meeting tonight.
Residents will oppose suggestions that the runway at Shoreham Airport should be extended.
They are worried about the possible increase in noise, pollution and disruption.
Green Euro MP Dr Caroline Lucas, the main speaker at the meeting, said: "I'm pleased to come to Lancing to learn more about the expansion plans.
"These proposals will have a serious impact on a large area of Sussex and come at a time when the aviation industry is growing at an unsustainable rate.
"Aviation is not only a serious environmental threat, particularly in the context of climate change, but also its predicted growth is based on a flawed economic argument."
Ms Lucas will be joined by John Stewart, chairman of Airport Watch - an umbrella group of campaigners opposed to airport expansions - and Councillor Keith Taylor, of the Shoreham Airport management committee.
The meeting is at Lancing Youth Club, Penhill Road, at 7.30pm.
