I enjoyed reading Lynn Daly's column about having a silent day (The Argus, February 2).

I can relate to it because, working from home, I don't get the normal amount of human contact as people who leave their houses to go to work.

I don't get lonely or have a nagging need to talk to someone. In fact, I feel relieved that I don't have to open my mouth. I find it brings about tranquility of mind. A lot of what we say doesn't really need to be said anyway.

When you don't speak too much it brings about a certain level of peace of mind.
