Albion manager Mark McGhee is mulling over another revised role for new signing Mark Yeates at third-bottom Notts County on Saturday.

The on-loan Spurs youngster could make his away debut on the right flank in place of the suspended Gary Hart.

Yeates started on the left in last Saturday's 4-1 home defeat by Bristol City.

McGhee moved the versatile 18-year-old into the middle of midfield with Richard Carpenter for the second half and took off Zesh Rehman.

Now McGhee is pondering the best way to replace Hart, who serves a one-match ban for five bookings.

"We have one or two options so we are not totally stumped," McGhee said.

"We will play 4-4-2 on Saturday. We will simplify it as much as we can to take care of them, 4-4-2 against their 4-4-2 and everybody knows what their job is.

"Mark is a player that can play anywhere and he is an option to play on the right hand side but I have not made that decision yet.

"He was certainly at his best in the middle last Saturday and if we can have him in the middle he will, but we have three players at the moment who are vying for that position.

"Zesh has done much better in training this week than he did on Saturday and I've been pleased with his response to what happened to him."

McGhee has warned the fullbacks and wide men their places are under threat as Albion aim for their first League win since mid-October in the clash at Meadow Lane.

"The wingers and the fullbacks have got to start to perform, otherwise we will start to look in those areas as well," McGhee said.

"I've spoken to them individually and as a group and they need to start playing. I can't wait much longer, I am going to go out and look for people."

Kerry Mayo, poised for his 63rd appearance on the trot at leftback, and the rest of the back four have been told they can get back on the cictory trail if they keep Mark Stallard quiet.

"Notts County don't have a lot of goals in their team, but they do have one goalscorer," McGhee siad.

"It appears if you take care of him then you have got a chance of winning the game. He's a good player and we will have to be careful of that."
