Zoe Ball's mum will spend a day in a wheelchair to raise money for Children in Need.
Julia Peckham will spend Friday being looked after by residents of Ernest Kleinwort Court in Oakenfield, Burgess Hill.
Mrs Peckham works as a care worker at the home and asked its disabled residents to come up with a novel idea to raise cash for the popular BBC charity appeal.
She said: "They thought it would be great to do a role reversal where I spend a day in a wheelchair. They would see to my needs as if they were the carers."
Mrs Peckham, who lives in Burgess Hill, hopes the stunt will raise hundreds of pounds and has even roped Xfm DJ Zoe into sponsoring her.
She said: "She has been very supportive and I've made sure she has sponsored me for the day."
