An internet company which helps businesses get online has moved its headquarters from London to Brighton.

Internetadvice has relocated to exploit the wealth of new media professionals who live in the city.

The company, based in Kemp Town, specialises in getting top listings for their clients on the major search engines like Google and Yahoo.

This "web optimisation" is important to companies as research shows most people only look at the first page of results on a web search.

Emma Meheux, head of new business development, said: "Brighton has many of the attributes of a capital city with the added benefit of being by the sea.

"The transport links to London are excellent. It is already a hugely popular location for new media professionals - hence its nickname silicone beach."
