Sussex Schools' under-18s beat Hampshire 32-19 to maintain their unbeaten start to the season.

A try by Brown and penalty from Sequin following good work by Redmayne put them ahead before Hants reduced the arrears to 8-7.

Tries by Power (2), Gray and Essex extended Sussex's advantage until their opponents replied in injury time.

It follows Sussex Clubs' under-18s' 18-15 victory against the same county.

Sussex Schools' under-18s meet Eastern Counties at Southend on Sunday while the Clubs' under-18s are at Thurrock.

Sussex under-16s play Hampshire at Waterhall, Brighton, tonight (7pm) and host Surrey on Sunday (12 Noon).

Hove Park missed two late penalties and were held on the line on three occasions as they were pipped 12-10 by impressive Brighton College in the third round of the Daily Mail Schools Cup.

Harlequin's scholar Kiba Richards showed his pace with two excellent tries either side of half-time for the College. Hove Park came back with two tries in the last ten minutes.

The two youngest age groups won and the under-12s completed a hat-trick with a 15-5 victory thanks to tries by Craig Holland, Harvey Packham and Alex Spurgeon. The under-14s were pipped. Brighton under-9s formed the guard of honour for Saracens and London Irish 1st XVs before their Zurich Premiership fixture.

Haywards Heath under-13s kick off their Sussex League season against Uckfield at Whiteman's Green on Sunday (12.45pm).
