Friends of mine were bitterly disappointed at how few people attended the concert given by the Minden Band of the Queen's Division in aid of both the Star and Garter Home and St Dunstans - two institutions worthy of support.
This concert was held in St Martin's Church on Lewes Road and was advertised in The Argus.
Tickets were available on the door and refreshments provided.
Only 20 people were there to listen to the wonderful music. My friends wonder why.
