Liz Brookes is right to be worried about the Newhaven incinerator (Letters, October 29).
I would hope that Brighton and Hove City Council is forward-thinking enough to reject any proposal to incinerate our waste as recycling is by far the better solution.
Landfill sites cannot cope with the amounts of waste any longer but the answer is not building incinerators.
I look forward to the recycling scheme being extended to all of Brighton and Hove.
