A former Mayor of Telscombe appeared before magistrates today to face two charges of assault.
David Neighbour, 59, of Central Avenue, Telscombe Cliffs, appeared at Brighton Magistrates Court charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm on Nigel Heasman on August 23 this year.
He faces a second charge of assault by beating of Tanya Heasman, also on August 23.
Neighbour was released on unconditional bail. He will reappear before the court on November 18.
