A teenager had to call the police after burglars broke into his father's house and held a riotous sex party.

Richard Stephenson, 18, has been staying with his girlfriend's family while his dad was away on business.

He called in police after checking on the house and discovering it had been ransacked.

At the house in Colwyn Close, Bewbush, Crawley:

The rear patio windows had been smashed
Pornographic magazines and used condoms littered the lounge
Traces of cocaine were found on the toilet cistern
Empty beer cans and bottles of booze had been left lying around.

Worried Richard told last night how once the intruders had finished their partying, they began to empty the house of its contents, stealing everything from computer equipment to cutlery.

They also walked off with a TV, video, digital camera and even a bread bin.

Richard, a student at Ifield Community College, said: "There is nothing left.

"They did some bizarre things, like put the washing machine on, so I guess they might have been squatters.

"My girlfriend lives across the road so I came round to check on the house on Sunday and it was just wrecked.

"Then I went to check on it again on Monday and I saw people inside.

"I called the police and we rescued some of the stuff which was in boxes and bags but they stole a lot, right down to the bread bin."

Richard has been looking after the house while his father, who has separated from his mother, is abroad on business.

He said "Although I wasn't there at the time, I'm very angry people could come into my home and do this."

His girlfriend Tara Graham, 17, said: "You don't expect it around here because it's a nice place to live."

A police spokesman said: "The home was broken into by revellers who held a party and then left stealing music and computer equipment."
