Coach Nick Nurse was ejected after commiting two technical fouls as Bears slipped out of the National Cup in the first round.
Nurse was furious when a goal tending call in the fourth quarter went against Kendrick Warren. He'd been called for his first technical in the third quarter.
It was nip and tuck throughout with Sharks only pulling away in the closing 40 seconds after Rico Alderson was fouled out.
With a minute left Sharks only led 73-70, but they then pulled away with regular visits to the free-throw line.
Bears had started brightly and led 18-9 in the first quarter before a 14-5 run in the third gave them a 54-52 advantage.
