Lock John Salisbury also enjoyed a good debut as Heath gave the high-flying Norfolk side were given plenty to think about.

North Walsham were always in front, leading 22-11 at the break and 42-19 at one stage.

Griffin produced great handling to send Fleming in for Heath's first-half try then added two penalties after taking over kicking duties from Alex Meredith.

A third penalty after the break was followed by a role reversal as Fleming drew his man and sent Griffin in.

Late pressure brought a score for Meredith and penalty try, with Griffin, a former Sussex under-20s skipper, goaling both.

Heath now look ahead to crucial home game next Saturday with Old Patesians, who were thrashed 50-8 at home by Blackheath.
