Brighton rockers the Railing Stains hoped to leave illusionist David Blaine spellbound with their renditions of Rolling Stones hits.
But after being upstaged by another city musician Sir Paul McCartney, the police banned them performing.
The band realised You Can't Always Get What You Want but their efforts no doubt brought Blaine a little Satisfaction.
