A club has become the only venue in Worthing allowed to sell alcohol past midnight on Sunday nights.
Tides nightclub in The Burlington Hotel, Marine Parade, Worthing, has been granted a late-night licence to allow an extension of permitted hours to 12.30am on Sundays.
The club secured the extension of its public entertainment licence after meeting members of Worthing Borough Council's licensing and control committee last Wednesday.
The Burlington, which is a prominent landmark in the town, has recently undergone a major refurbishment and renovation.
About £1 million has been spent on the historic Grade II listed building, which includes a restaurant, bar and the nightclub.
