Brighton new media company Futuremedia has acquired the business of a leading e-learning consultancy.
The board of Futuremedia, which offers online employment training for companies, has announced the acquisition of the products and services of IQdos.
The deal will add the BBC, Channel Four, Daimler Chrysler, GSK, Hilton International, Novartis Pharmaceuticals, Reuters and T Mobile to Futuremedia's client base.
The move combines IQdos' strengths - producing customised learning programmes, products and learning consultancy - with Futuremedia's E-learning technology and courseware services, which enable companies to find the right training packages for their business.
The companies hope the all-share deal, in which IQdos products and business are valued at about 450,000 US dollars, or 1,150,000 Futuremedia shares, will enhance Futuremedia's revenues and earnings per share.
IQdos is expected to be fully integrated into Futuremedia, with IQdos managing director Sue Harley joining the company as director of learning.
