The Brighton station site redevelopment should have a bus and coach terminal.

Sainsbury's should set new trends on the site with a new flagship store to get its main flow of customers from the integrated transport terminal.

Many people do their weekly shop on their way home from work. Commuters would do this if they were able to get off a train, bus or coach on their way home.

This is a long-term solution to many of the city's future traffic congestion problems.

There will be congestion charging in Brighton and Hove as it is working in London.

Sainsbury's should be aware of this. If it is given carte blanche to go ahead with a large car park for its new store, who will want to pay a congestion charge to get there?

Pool Valley was a Fifties bus terminal, not a coach terminal, and would benefit from redevelopment as a city centre site of small shops and restaurants.
