So, Brighton and Hove thinks it is a city? Why then does it not do as other cities have - some for as long as 40 years - and simply run an all-night bus service?
When this was suggested some 30 years ago in London, the cry went up that people did not need it as most had cars and it would not pay.
When the service started they found, after a couple of weeks, they had to double the number of buses on the roads and now the service is not far off a Sunday service.
